CALLIGRAPHY POLICIES

LIST FORMATING
Please format your address list in the exact format as you would prefer the address written (i.e. Street vs St., Mr. & Mrs. vs Mr. and Mrs., etc). Lists should be typed in MS Word or MS Excel, in a line-by-line format, designating whether you would prefer apartment addresses and zip codes on separate lines. See below for a sample of how names and addresses should be listed:

Formal Addresses:
Mr. and Mrs. John Smith

Informal Addresses:
John and Jackie Smith

PAYMENT
Payment is accepted at the time your order is placed. Due to the handwritten nature of my word, your order will not be started until payment is recieved in full.

REFUNDS & RETURNS
Due to the custom, made-to-order nature of my work, I do not offer refunds on any orders. As with all hand-lettereing, there will be slight variences in the size, spacing, style, and alignment of each piece. While I use the utmost skill and care to keep discrepancies to a minimum, variences are inevitable. Though I do not offer refunds, I will gladly redo any pices with reasonably drastic discrepancies. 

ADDITIONAL LINES
Calligrpahy pricing includes 3 lines, or 4 lines if you would like the zip code dropped below the city and state. Unmarried couples require an additional line. Unless abbreviated as Apt., No. or #, apartment addresses will also require an additional line. I reserve the right to move any information down to the next line that I deem will not fit or will compromise the appearance of the calligraphy at my discretion. Address lines with more than 30 characters will require an additional line. EXTRA ENVELOPES & CORRECTIONS
As a standard practice, I will keep several extra envelopes upon completion of your order to hold for client instructed corrections, changes, or additions. Please review your order immediately upon reciept, and let me know of any corrections on my account that need to be made. Additions or corrections on account of client error will be billed directly to the client via Paypal. Corrections are typically completed and shipped via USPS within 3-5 business days. Extra envelopes will be returned at your request.

PROCESSING TIMES
Standard turnaround for orders of 100 envelopes or less is 7 business days. For orders of 100- 200 envelopes, turnaround time is 7-14 business days. Please contact me for orders greater than 200 to request current processing times. Processing time begins from when I recieve your envelopes, guest list, and complete payment, and ends when your order leaves my hands. Shipping time is not accounted for in processing times.

RUSH ORDERS
A rush order is any order requiring completion in less time than the turnaround time quoted. Rush orders are orders that are moved to the front of my production queue, and for this reason there is typically an additional 25% up charge which may be increased based on the length of rush turnaround required. 

SHIPPING
When completed, your order will be shipped to the address provided on your calligraphy contract. Large orders of 150 envelopes or more are shipped via FedEx Ground or UPS Ground. All other orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail. If you prefer a different shipping method, speed, or carrier, please specify prior to placing your order. All shipping overages, or last minute changes to shipping speeds on account of the client, will be billed directly to the client via PayPal. All orders will have up to date tracking information provided. While I make every effort to ship all orders on time, sometimes shipping delays on account of the carrier are unavoidable. Dove House Handmade is not responsible for any errors or delays on account of USPS, UPS, FedEx, or the client.

ADDITIONAL ENVELOPES
Errors are inevitable with hand-written work. Please include 15 -20% additional envelopes with your order. For orders of 100 or less envelopes a minimum of 15 additional envelopes are required to complete your order. Failure to provide an adequate amount of additional envelopes may result in delays to your order. We do not count your envelopes in advance and rely on our clients to provide an adequate number of extra envelopes

INK COLORS
Standard ink colors are black and white. Metallic inks and custom colors are available at an additional charge. Please see Calligraphy Services for pricing information. Custom ink colors may not exactly match the printed script on your invitations, but every effort is made to match as closely as possible.

HAND-DELIVERED ORDERS
I offer hand delivery of orders to clients local to the Dallas/Fort Worth area, within 20 miles of the 75080 zip code.
